Curt Flood was a vital cog in the 1964 Cardinals’ world championship run, but that achievement may have been all but forgotten in light of Flood’s subsequent role in the arrival of free agency for baseball players. In 1998 Congress passed the Curt Flood Act, which eliminated baseball’s antitrust exemption in regard to labor issues. Flood received one final posthumous accolade in 1999, when Time magazine named him one of the ten most influential athletes of the past century.

Curt Flood gloves are pretty rare. This is the only one I've ever had. It does have stitched fingers and eight top load horizontal card pockets. The cash slot runs the whole length as well. The red baseball stitches really look nice on this classic looking glove wallet,

It measures 3.75" by 4.5" and has full size wallet room.  The Curt Flood Story is actually a sad and tragic story. It's worth the time to read about his whole life.
